Organist & Choir Director 

Betsy Haskins is FHPC's Choir Director and Organist and we are blessed to have her with us. She graduated from Salem College with a double major in math and economics and then 20 years later graduated again but this time with a major in Piano and Organ Performance. She also has a master’s degree in Organ Performance from the North Carolina School of the Arts.She is currently studying organ with concert organist Dr. Timothy Olson.

She has been playing the piano for 65 years and the Organ for 57 years. She has served as organist and She loves making music with people. She has directed several adult and children’s choirs and handbell choirs and loves sharing the joy that music can bring.

She teaches piano and voice privately and accompanies all music programs at Carlisle School. She has been a devoted member of Forest Hills for 8 years and loves the closeness and the wonderful congregation. She and husband Jim have 4 adult children and and 4 beloved grandsons. She feels truly blessed.
